Inclusive Learning Videos for Special-Needs Schools and Disability Centres

A Baby Learning World guide · Updated October 2026

If you teach or support children at a special-needs school, an early-intervention class, a preschool or a disability centre, you already know how powerful the right video can be at group time. This page gathers free, inclusive learning songs you can play straight away on the classroom TV — and shares a few simple ways to get the most out of them.

Why representation matters

Children pay more attention when they see themselves on screen. When a child who uses a wheelchair, wears ear defenders or has Down syndrome watches a classmate just like them singing the alphabet, the message is simple and powerful: this song is for you, too. Inclusive videos also help every child grow up seeing difference as an ordinary, happy part of the classroom.

That is why we built our ABC Class Song around a class that looks like a real one — friends who use wheelchairs, a friend with prosthetic legs, a friend with Down syndrome, a friend who wears ear defenders, and more, all singing and dancing together.

Videos you can play today

Tips for the classroom TV

  • Use the same one or two songs at the same point each day so the routine feels safe and predictable.
  • Turn the volume to a comfortable level and dim busy lighting for children who are sensitive to sound or glare.
  • Pause on a letter or word to practise the sound, sign it, or find it on an alphabet chart.
  • Offer a quiet-corner option on a tablet with headphones for children who need a calmer space.
  • Invite children to take a turn "leading" an action — it builds confidence and turn-taking.

Good to know: videos are a learning tool, not a treatment. Use them alongside each child's own plan and the guidance of their family and professional team, and watch how each child responds.

Sharing with families

One of the easiest wins is consistency between the centre and home. Share the links in your newsletter or parent app so children can enjoy the exact same songs in both places — the familiarity makes the learning stick and gives families something lovely to do together. Common questions

Are the videos free to use in our setting?

Yes. Every video is free to watch on our YouTube channel, and you are welcome to play them in your classroom, centre or therapy room.

Will there be ads during the video?

Our songs are short, so there are no mid-video ad breaks. For group time, load the video before the session starts so it's ready to play.

Do you add new videos?

Yes — we are adding more inclusive songs over time. Subscribing on YouTube is the easiest way to see new ones.

Can we request a topic?

Absolutely. Use our contact page to tell us what would help your learners most.
